winter wonderland..

Wouldn't it be wonderful to spend time hauled up in a stunning chalet, like Aerin Lauder's in Aspen, Colorado?

happy thanksgiving

I remember going to the movies one year to see this with my family, i must have been about 15 and it all seemed so surreal to me. i thought of it today when i realized that it was thanksgiving, which made me think about the importance of family. this is what i love about this movie, is the family relationship's and that is feels real, its not perfect and the people in the movie seem to have as much trouble keeping it together for the meal, as they do getting the turkey to the table! happy thanksgiving to all of my friends and family in america enjoy this day!

exams and such..

i'm currently in the middle of exams..yes it is that time of the semester again. i have also been suffering from migraine, so to say that i have been feeling a little sorry for myself, would be an understatement. in one of my fits of procrastination, i went over to check out the fictitious life of elizabeth black, one of the blogs of my very talented sister. and there as if it was meant to be was an inspirational poster blog entry. just what i needed to get back to the books. oh, that an a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit to dunk. thank you lil' sis xx

are you a fan of going to the movies alone? i am!!

I saw this post on cup of jo about going to the movies alone. i was so excited, i thought of all the movies that i have seen alone..i love the movies on your own, i also love going to museums alone, eating at restaurants alone and going for walks alone. my sister thinks that i'm a freak, i actually wouldn't have it any other way. don't get me wrong, i love my family and friends but i also love my own company. i take my journal, to dinner, my iPod on my walks, my camera to the museum, and a coffee to the movies. i cant wait to see this movie, hopefully on one of my solo movie adventures.

no words needed to describe these darlings.. they remind me of me and my sis..

Ok so lets be honest, i never what the ellen show, but my sister loves it and tonight, it was all worth it for these two! I just love how the two of them have this beautiful relationship, Sophia Grace has an amazing voice and Rosie, those dance moves. So talented and unaffected, they are a beautiful pair, Sophia Grace is so confident and happy and so wants Rosie there with her, to share in all the adventures. Their parents should be proud! Make sure that you watch Sophia Grace sing Rolling in the Deep, and then watch them 'tear it up' in the ad break! Priceless.

amazing NY and that carousel..

wow I was so excited to stumble across this post on hither and thither, a beautiful blog that my mum & i love to follow... I was so thrilled to see a post on the 'Jane's Carousel' which I saw in Brooklyn two years ago, wondering what the plan was for this charming beauty would be... today I got my answer, thank you ashley and aron!

i adore the last photo on hither & thither by shawn, of the carousel sitting under the brooklyn bridge in its perspex container, only in ny would something so whimsical and wonderful be possible..
