a simple dinner for six

my mum is an amazing cook and i love to cook as a result of years of helping my mum and seeing the joy it brings to people. every tuesday a very dear friend of ours comes over for quick dinner. actually he comes to tutor my little sister in french and then stays for dinner. however my mum and dab both excel themselves with food and table embellishments every time. here are a few snaps from dinner last night.

i wish that I was able to help, but i can take no credit for the amazing outcome that you see here. my parents are remarkable people that inspire me everyday. many of my friends ask me why i still live at home.. i think these photos answer that rather nicely, wouldn't you say?

you joining us next week? x

mum, love daughter

tomorrow is the day when the whole world collectively thanks you for all the things that you so thanklessly do for us. not only yesterday and the week before, but for tomorrow and a year from now thank you for being there.

its knowing that you will always be there to pick us up when we fall, dust off the troubles and set us back on the right path that gives us the courage to go out and attempt to achieve all our dreams. thank you mums everywhere and most of all thank you to my mum, my biggest fan and best friend i love you.

winter wonderland

I read this amazing post on hither and thither about 'the paris of the north' - Montreal. I loved reading every bit of this and the photos! wow

It reminded me of a trip that i took to melbourne in june last year. I wanted to go to paris, but with no near prospects of doing so i headed off to 'the paris of australia'. I have now been inspired to finally put together a travelogue post on my adventure. It wasn't quite as cold, but it was just as wonderful.
