a perfect interview

I read the best interview in the recent issue of 'a perfect magazine'. Its about Todd Selby and the inspiration for his blog. I always love to hear what was behind the creation of blogs as wonderful as 'the selby -is in your house'. 

This article was absolutely amazing, written by editor at-large Johathan Heaf.  Selby talks about his past as an environmental portrait photographer. Selby goes on to talk about working for advertising agencies and magazines and how this meant that his personal vision was compromised.

Selby explains ‘the problem was when the photographs appeared in the public arena, they lacked the inspiration and insight into that person’s life. That is what I wanted to achieve’. Selby wanted to profile what he thought was interesting and that was almost always the ‘raw shots that the ad agencies and magazines didn't want’.
