perth has a lot going for it at the moment. apart from the obvious, there are a lot of great watering holes, new shops, events and of course art adventures. here are a few snaps from the best of perth's laneways...

Exams are over but I'm back to uni next week. So I cant wait to spend this weekend watching old movies, catching up with friends and having a drink or two.

one down, one to go

with one exam down and one more to go things are looking up. i have been the absent blogger again and i cant wait to finish this exam and start going out. so ok i went out last friday and then lost the whole weekend. never again. however it was super fun to hang out with friends after all stress of the last few weeks was much needed. however stay tuned for more adventures here and now. 

best in the state

this time last year i took a trip to melbourne, where i was dead set on eating my way around the city. i have decided that i will finally put up some photos from this trip.

it begins with cake. i had heard about the famous cake strip in Ackland street, St Kilda. so off i went with my friend sophie and we ate ourselves silly. you can see the two slices that we had, plus one of the vanilla slices (best in state so how could we refuse?) and it was just amazing!


then we headed back to the city, where i stumbled across a cupcake store. and of course i had to try one..or two.. the red velvet and cream cheese chocolate were so tasty..

I cant wait till someone brings cupcakes to perth.. hint hint.

bikes

i ride my bike as you may be aware from an earlier post i did on bicycles. but tonight as i was looking at cup of jo i saw this amazing video about bikes, pedestrians and motorists in NYC. it is amazing to watch, there is no skill in bike riding here in Perth. i especially love the ballsiness of the pedestrians, i love the one at around 2.54, who throws up his hands at the car that cuts him off. a little later on around 2.58 you see a woman put her hands on the front of a car and have a go.

inspirational young girl.

i read this article about Alice Pyne, a young girl in the UK that is battling cancer and has written a bucket list. You can check it out here its just so lovely. It has received the most amazing attention over the last few days, people wishing her well and making donations to charity on her behalf. She only went live recently and has over 9000 followers. read it and be inspired. sending my love and thoughts to you alice! you are so brave and such an inspiration to all of us. xxx
